Visitors to Canada Plan FAQ

Sum Insured Amount is your choice of amount set for total liability coverage. 
Please refer to the sum insured options in Benefit Detail of this page.

Allianz :
  • Age up to 59 is covered for pre-existing conditions if stable for 90 days.
  • Age between 60 – 79 is covered for pre-existing Heart, Stroke/ministroke, and any other pre-existing condition is excluded if not stable 180 days prior to the effective date – if such coverage is requested and the complete Detailed Medical questionnaire form is accepted by Allianz Global Assistance. Otherwise, pre-existing Heart, Stroke/ministroke, and any other pre-existing condition is excluded.
  • Age between 80-89 is covered only if your complete Detailed Medical questionnaire form is accepted by Allianz Global Assistance
Tugo :
  • Pre-existing conditions that are not stable in the 120 days before the effective date or the arrival date in Canada, whichever occurs later, for insureds who are 59 years and under on the application date.
  • Pre-existing conditions that are not stable in the 180 days before the effective date or the arrival date in Canada, whichever occurs later, for insureds who are 60 to 69 years on the application date.
  • Any pre-existing conditions for insureds who are 70 years and over on the application date.
Allianz :
  • Family includes the applicant, age 59 and under, the applicant’s spouse, age 59 and under, and dependent children at least 15 days of age and no more than 21 years of age.
  • Family rate will be calculated based on the oldest Person’s rate * 2.
Tugo :
  • Two-person rate and Family rate are available. Please contact us for more information.

All Visitors to Canada plan’s total premium per policy – regardless of insurance provider – must be greater than $20.
